What Do I Do Next?!
A home inspection can be intimidating, and that’s something we understand at Mississippi Premier Inspections. Sometimes, your home may not look like there are any issues, but there might be underlying issues that aren’t visible or might be unexpected in a report. Getting back that report may be a little nerve-wracking, but it’s okay! Here’s what you can expect in your home inspection report and what to do next!
Your Home Inspection Report and Where to Go from Here
Your home inspection report will discuss and note any defects that are important to be addressed. Mississippi Premier Inspections will also add photos and/or videos where necessary to show you exactly what we’re seeing. As we discussed in our June’s blog, we break that down into major, marginal, or minor defects. We use the latest tools and tech, such as drones and body cameras, that help us gather all the information you need to understand what is happening in your home.
After our inspection and home inspection report are complete, we suggest contacting qualified professionals who can help you fix the issues we find. If you can do the maintenance yourself, we mark that with DIY; however, where it notes any other defects, we strongly suggest hiring a professional to handle the maintenance.
For example, if there is an issue with your light fixtures, we will discuss that issue, and then you’ll see a note that says: Contact a qualified electrical contractor. This way, there’s no question as to who you should contact in regard to what needs to be fixed.
